Testapparatus for measuring protective current at enamelled Hot-Water-Tanks acc. to DIN 4753 Teil 3

Measurement of protective current is an important control procedure at the production of enamelled hot-water tanks.

Coating of enamelled hot-water-tanks always have small defects, pores etc. That's why a kathodic corrosion protection is necessary what can be done by a galvanic anode for example a Magnesium-anode.

Galvanic anodes are soluble and have a limited lifetime. After they have to be exchanged.

Measurement of protective current allows calculation for lifetime. Observation of limit-value 22,5mA/m² is ensuring a lifetime of Anode of 5 years.
